A Scholar’s Mind.
A Healer’s Heart.
I have always been a seeker of truth.
For over nine years, my professional life has been dedicated to research—analyzing the systems of education, workforce, and policy that shape our society. With a background in Anthropology, Psychology, and International Studies, I have spent my career looking at the "why" behind human behavior and the structures that hold us.
But research only tells us where we are. It doesn't always tell us how to heal.
My Story
The Call to the Root
My journey into the Hoodoo and Soulaani traditions was not a departure from my academic roots, but a homecoming. As an Afro-Indigenous woman raised in multi-ethnic communities, I grew up seeing the world through a human-centered, culturally rich lens. I realized that the data I studied in my research career was missing the most important element: The Spirit.
In 2020, I formalized my commitment to community care by becoming an Ordained Minister. What started as a title became a responsibility. It was an acknowledgment that my work—whether I am analyzing a study or anointing a candle—is an act of service.
My Practice: The Rooted Word
When you sit with me for a consultation or use an apothecary item I’ve crafted, you are getting the benefit of:
-
The Anthropologist’s Eye: A deep respect for cultural lineage and ancestral tradition.
-
The Researcher’s Precision: A commitment to the integrity of the ingredients and the logic of the "work.
-
The Minister’s Compassion: A five-year track record of standing in the gap for those in need of prayer and direction.
-
The League of Lineage: A lifetime of traditions and training "rooted" in faith.
The Invitation
I know what it’s like to navigate the "thorns" of life—the systems that don't see us and the transitions that shake us. I created this sanctuary to be the bridge between the world we see and the spirit we feel.
I am here to help you find your footing, speak your truth, and work your root.
